Mobile Food Units, commonly known as food trucks, are required to obtain a Mobile Food Unit License to operate in Findlay, Ohio, regardless of whether you are operating on public or private property.  To apply for a Mobile Food Unit License, complete the Mobile Food Unit License Application and include the following required documents and $100 fee when submitting the application:

- Copy of driver’s license or state issued identification card
- Copy of State of Ohio, Department of Health, Food Service Permit
- Copy of Fire Inspection Report (click the link to request a fire inspection:  Request a Fire Inspection
- Copy of propane pressure leak test inspection report, performed by a licensed, bonded professional, if applicable
- Certificate of Liability Insurance with City of Findlay named as a Certificate Holder,
using 318 Dorney Plaza, Room 310, Findlay, Ohio 45840, as the address

There are restrictions to this license. Mobile Food Units are NOT permitted to operate in any of the City parks or ball fields or public property without separate approval through a Vending Permit Application. The Vending Permit Application can be obtained through the City’s Recreation Department. They can be reached at 419-424-7176.

Mobile Food Units are NOT permitted to operate in the Downtown Findlay area unless you have leased space on private property. The Downtown Findlay area is defined as Center Street to Lima Avenue and East Street to West Street.

Mobile Food Units are not permitted to operate in the parking area of any street unless written permission has been granted through an All Events Permit Application.
