Mayor Christina Muryn performs marriage ceremonies. To schedule an appointment to get married, please contact the Mayor’s Office by phone at 419-424-7137 or by email at klaunder@findlayohio.gov.

Prior to the marriage ceremony, if you are a Hancock County resident or out of state resident, you must obtain a marriage license from the Hancock County Probate Court, 209 West Main Cross Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840 (telephone: 419-424-7079). If you are a resident of Ohio, but not Hancock County, you need to obtain the marriage license in the Probate Court of the county you reside.

When scheduling your appointment, please remember that the ceremony must be scheduled within 60 days from the date the license is issued. You will need to bring the marriage license with you on the day of the ceremony.

The fees are as follows through December 2025:
$25.00 if one of the couple is from Hancock County
$100.00 if neither of the couple is from Hancock County

Effective January 1, 2026, wedding fees are as follows:
$50.00 if one of the couple is from Hancock County
$150.00 if neither of the couple is from Hancock County

The fee is payable the day of the ceremony.  We accept cash, check, or credit card (Mastercard or Visa only).

Guests are welcome, however, you do not need to bring witnesses. Pictures are permitted.
