Councilman Rodney Phillips is a proud graduate of Van Buren High School and a lifelong believer in service to community and country. After graduation, Rodney enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he developed the discipline and commitment that have guided his career. Following an honorable discharge, he joined the Findlay Fire Department where he served the community for many years and achieved the rank of Captain before retiring in 2019. He now serves as the lead firearms instructor at The Buffalo Trading Company.

Rodney and his wife Lisa care deeply about Findlay and he looks forward to helping guide its future during his council term.
