Existing service

For water and sewer services that are preexisting (not new construction), stop in and fill out your application at the Water/Sewer Billing Office at 136 North Blanchard Street, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM.  You are welcome to contact us at (419) 424-7190 if you have any questions.

A driver’s license or other photo ID is required.

Deposits

 At the time of application for water service, a deposit will be required of applicants. Owner billed properties may be exempt from the deposit with a satisfactory record of payment with the Findlay Water Department from a previous account or a letter of satisfactory credit from a current account with another Water Department.  The amount of the deposit is $100 for water and $100 for sewer.   

 Deposit payments can be made in our office by credit or debit card, check, or cash.  Visa and Mastercard payments are accepted and a convenience fee is charged by ACI payments for this service.

 The deposit, without interest, on rental properties billed to the tenant, is applied to the final bill when service is discontinued and any remaining funds will be refunded to the name and address on record.

 Tenant and Owner responsibilities are defined in the Water and Sewer Rules and Regulations.

New construction

New construction permits can be obtained from the Zoning Department and water/sewer permits can be obtained at the Engineering Department in the Municipal Building by the land owner or his duly authorized agent.
